Our team began by removing the old shingles and inspecting the decking underneath to make sure everything was structurally sound. Once the surface was prepped, we applied our full Klaus Larsen Roofing system to ensure long-lasting protection from leaks and weather damage. We started with our SealoronXT Deck Tape, which seals the gaps between plywood sheets while still allowing the wood to breathe. Next, we installed SealoronXT Ice & Water in the roof’s most vulnerable areas to create a watertight barrier against ice dams and heavy rain. Over the rest of the roof, we rolled out VeloraONE Underlayment, a high-performance synthetic layer designed to keep moisture out and add an extra level of durability. Once the base layers were in place, we installed IKO Dynasty shingles in the color Granite Black. Strong, beautiful, and built to last. This original three-tab shingled roof home needed a new roof with updated shingles and added attic ventilation. We tore off the outdated shingles and replaced them and installed a new 3" Perma-Boot vent pipe and new chimney flashing. In addition to the roof, the homeowner wanted to remove both of the old metal awnings above the back door and driveway side door which we replaced with new wood peaked awnings. We were able to keep the charm and character of this 1920's home while still providing peace of mind to the homeowners come this winter!
