An attic is like the thermometer of an ailing house. Structural damage and rotting plywood may not always be visible from the outside, but we can certainly tell by what we see occurring underneath the roof. When we surveyed the attic of this home in Hebron, we found signs of water damage. An aluminum drip edge was installed along the roof perimeter and the chimney was re-pointed and flashed with lead.
Built in 1993, this 25 year old home in Hebron, CT contacted Klaus Larsen in need of a new roof. All damaged plywood decking was replaced. A new Ridge Vent was installed to to prevent moisture was entering the home. This home is ready for the Spring ahead!
This 1978 Gambrel-style home had its original cedar shake roof that was in need of being replaced. To begin, Klaus Larsen Roofing tore off one layer of Cedar Shake Roofing and installed new plywood decking over the existing framing. Next, we installed three layers of Ice & Water Barrier near all eaves, valleys, chimneys etc. For shingles, we installed Duration TruDefinition Shingles in the color Amber.
