Roof was roughly 35 years old on an older home. As Summer approached, the kind homeowners reached out to have us redo their entire roof. As their last part of remolding their home, they were ecstatic to see the finished roof and amazing shingles.
Matt in Jewett City, CT, reached out to us at Klaus Larsen Roofing after noticing water spots forming on the ceiling of his master bedroom. Concerned about potential leaks and long-term damage, he wanted a professional inspection to get a clear answer on what was going on. Our sales inspector came by to assess the situation and walk Matt through the best solutions for his home. After an evaluation, we discovered that his aging roof and insufficient attic insulation were contributing to the problem. Matt decided to move forward with a full roof replacement and attic insulation upgrade. Now, with a brand-new Klaus Larsen roof and improved insulation, Matt can rest easy knowing his home is protected from future leaks and heat loss.
Eli and Erin in Lisbon, CT, knew it was time to update their 18-year-old roof. The front of their roof had traditional asphalt shingles, while the back had a flat roof that needed an upgrade. After meeting with our team, they decided on a partial roof replacement to strengthen and protect their home. We applied our trusted sealing system with the SealoronXT Ice&Water and the VeloraOne Roof Underlayment, and installed a Polyglass flat roof system on the back for long-lasting waterproofing. For the shingled section, we used IKO Dynasty Architectural shingles in the color Granite Black, giving the home a sleek, refreshed look. Now, Eli and Erin’s home is equipped with a roofing system built to handle the elements for years to come. The Klaus Roofing Way!
Mike recently purchased a charming home in Griswold, CT, but the roof was over 20 years old and showing signs of wear. Wanting to start homeownership off on the right foot, he reached out to Klaus Larsen Roofing for a full roof replacement. After a detailed inspection from one of our project consultants, Mike felt confident he was choosing the right roofing company to protect his investment. The roofing crew began by removing the old shingles and replacing any damaged plywood to create a strong, secure base. We then sealed the roof deck with SealoronXT Deck Tape and added SealoronXT Ice & Water Shield in the most vulnerable areas. For the rest of the roof, we installed VeloraONE Roof Underlayment for full-surface protection. To finish it off, we laid down IKO Dynasty shingles in Granite Black, a bold, modern look backed by a 50-year warranty. Now, Mike’s home not only looks stunning but is built to last, thanks to a roofing contractor he can count on. The Klaus Roofing Way!
Here was a ranch home in Stonington, CT which had a lot of moss and lichen build up on its shingles. Both moss and lichen spores love to take hold and grow on the north side of trees, as well as the shady areas of roofs. Older, 3-tab shingles, like the ones used on this home, were not designed with any type of resistance to this type of fungal growth. Power washing and chemical solvents are not recommended as they will often actually take granules of asphalt off, and can even void some insurance plans!
