This was another 'Roof Your Neighborhood' project in the town of Glastonbury, CT. When homeowners in the same community invest in their roof at the same time, we can offer a sizable discount on materials, as we are able to buy them in bulk. The first part of the process entailed removing and recycling one layer of old shingles. This was followed by inspecting and replacing all deteriorated plywood, so that we could safely install an underlayment membrane for added moisture protection. The finished shingles here are Slatestone Gray.
This 2,500 square foot roof in Glastonbury needed to be replaced. The old 3-tab shingles were worn and nearing the end of their useful life. Along with the roof, both chimneys were reflashed and the shed got new shingles as well.
This Slatestone Gray roof represents the 75th roof installation that we have done in Glastonbury. We are very grateful to the homeowners who have trusted and continue to trust us with their homes!
At this home in Glastonbury, the owners were concerned about differences in height between the eve & rake boards and the new roof and plywood. At the same time we replaced the roof, our production team trimmed the eve and rake boards so the entire roof would be flush.
This multi-family home in Glastonbury, CT was built in 1800 and had significant water damage which required a roof replacement. Klaus Larsen Roofing began by tearing off and disposing of two layers of existing roofing materials. Next, we replaced all damaged plywood decking and installed DeckSeal Modified Bitumen Flat Roofing in the color Shasta White. Lastly, we removed and replaced flashing on the chimney with new lead flashing. This home is now equipped with a proper roof that will protect all who call this home!
