The original roof was covered in snow, which can trap moisture and cause the shingles to decay. Under the snow, the shingles were looking aged and worn. Brown Roofing transformed the roof with IKO Cambridge Dual Black shingles, giving the home a cleaner look built to protect.

A chimney cricket is important because chimneys create a natural “dam” on the roof. Without a cricket, water, leaves, snow, and debris can pile up behind the chimney, increasing the risk of leaks, rot, damaged decking, and failed flashing. A properly installed cricket diverts water to both sides of the chimney, helping protect one of the most leak-prone areas of the roof.

Brown Roofing prepped the garage roof with protective underlayment and clean edge details, creating a watertight foundation before the finished roof system was installed. The completed black metal roof adds durable protection, sharp curb appeal, and a clean water-shedding finish above the garage doors.
