Kay from Naugatuck reached out to the Brown Roofing team for a new roof, and during the inspection, roofing expert John noticed her chimney needed urgent attention. Years of freeze-thaw cycles had caused cracks and shifts in the bricks and mortar, leaving it vulnerable. So, we worked with our skilled masons to build her a brand-new chimney, complete with a durable chimney cap. Now, her home is fully upgraded with not only a durable roof, but also a beautiful chimney built to last!
The original skylight was leaking and showed clear signs of age, clouding, heavy sealant buildup, patching, and ponding water around the curb.
The upgraded skylight now properly sealed and leak free with a cleaner, clearer, more finished appearance with a better-seated frame and improved curb detail.
Before: The chimney showed worn masonry, staining, and deteriorated flashing around the roofline, creating a vulnerable area where water was work its way into the home.
After: Brown Roofing refreshed the chimney-to-roof transition with new metal flashing, helping protect this leak-prone area while giving the chimney a cleaner, more secure finish.
The original siding was suffering from significant wood rot, as indicated by the large hole. The new siding gives the home a clean, modern look adding fresh curb appeal.
