Klaus Roofing by Triple H replaced a roof in Kings Park. Part of this roof project was installing a new ShingleVentII Ridge Vent. Ventilation you say. Yes, making sure your roof is properly vented is very important. During the colder months you want to make sure your roof is properly vented to help reduce ice dams. In the hotter months you want to make sure your roof is vented properly to relieve the strain on the air conditioning system.  When a Ridge Vent is installed, you are helping air movement which helps remove heat and moisture. It also helps to minimize moisture. This house now has a beautiful new roof and will be properly ventilated.

A homeowner found our company at a local festival day and inquired about a roof inspection. Klaus specialist Brian visited the home and found enough damage to propose a roof replacement. The roofing crew removed all existing layers of shingles and replaced any damaged wood decking. KRS proprietary Sealoron XT Ice & Water Shield was installed next, six ft. up from all eaves, in all valleys, at roof/wall intersections, around the base of all chimneys, around skylights and any other penetrations. Sealoron XT deck tape was installed on all plywood seams and KRS proprietary Velora One Synthetic Underlayment was installed before the IKO Architectural shingles in Brownstone were nailed down with HD Galvanized ring shank nails. The final touches of pipe and chimney flashing, and remaining shingles for ridge vent, etc. were installed and the grounds cleaned up thoroughly. The homeowner will now feel more secure in the home through all seasons for the next 50 years of warranty.  

A customer from Smithtown, NY contacted Klaus Roofing Systems by Triple H about their old roof. Their roof needed to be replaced. Klaus Roofing Systems by Triple H removed the existing roofing to wood. Any damaged or rotted boards were removed and replaced.  SealoronXT deck tape is used to cover all seams of the plywood. Then SealoronXT ICE & Water Shield is installed 6 feet on all drip edges, walls, chimneys, and valleys.  Velora One synthetic underlayment is placed on balance of wood. New aluminum drip & rake metal is installed. Finally, new IKO Dynasty architectural lifetime shingles are installed.

During the evaluation our representative Brian could see areas where the shingles were buckled. In other areas he could see the shingles lifting. It was clear this roof needed to be replaced. The customers decided to do a Roof Replacement the Klaus Way. The existing rotted or damaged wood was replaced with new plywood.  IKO Goldshield Ice & Water Gard was installed on all drip edges, walls, chimneys, and valleys. All seams of the plywood were taped. New Premium aluminum drip metal was installed on all eaves of the rood deck. Klaus Roofing Systems by Triple H installed a new vent pipe boot flashing as well as new lead chimney flashing. Finally, IKO dynasty shingles were installed. The entire roof was replaced in just one day!
