When Carl, a homeowner in Frazee, MN, reached out to Vita Roofing for a roof inspection, he knew his home deserved expert attention. His 2-story, 2,800 square foot home was protected by an asphalt roof that was nearly 20 years old, well past the point where Minnesota’s extreme weather can begin to cause costly issues. During our thorough exterior inspection, our team identified significant wear and deterioration that could quickly turn into leaks, water damage, and expensive repairs if left unaddressed. Acting early was the key to protecting Carl’s home and avoiding future headaches.
Our experienced roofing specialist walked the entire property and provided a clear, professional assessment, recommending a solution built for long-term performance. We suggested IKO Nordic Shingles, one of the top Class 4 impact-resistant shingles in the roofing industry. Designed to withstand harsh wind, hail, and seasonal extremes, these shingles deliver exceptional durability, curb appeal, and peace of mind. Best of all, the new roofing system is backed by Klaus Roofing’s 20-year warranty, ensuring trusted craftsmanship and lasting protection. This was a church in Mentor, MN. IKO Dynasty Brownstone shingles were installed.
A commercial building in Bemidji, MN, had been dealing with persistent roofing problems when the owner, Dan, called Vita Roofing out of Fargo, ND, for help. Upon inspection, the team immediately noticed the membrane was in rough shape. Previous repair work was visible throughout the roof, but it was clear that those efforts had reached their limit. Seals were breaking down, and several sections were actively failing, allowing problems to worsen over time.
Once Dan saw the full extent of the wear and tear, he agreed that another patch job wouldn’t solve the issue. Vita Roofing performed a complete tear-off and installed a new roofing system featuring a 1/2" Poly ISO HD board beneath a fully adhered EPDM membrane for enhanced durability and performance. The installation included a full assembly of components such as bonding adhesive, primer, flashings, pipe boots, term bar, lap sealant, and water block. The parapet walls were carefully addressed with a fully adhered system, folded under cap metal on the east and south walls, while the west wall was secured with a termination bar and masonry fasteners. With the addition of screws, plates, and low-rise foam, the building now has a reliable, long-lasting roofing system in place.
