There’s more to an effective roofing system than shingles. While shingles are a crucial part of your roofing system, you must consider the roof decking, underlayment, protective barriers, and beyond.
Before upgrading this homeowner’s existing roof, the Klaus Roofing System roofers ensured the roof decking was intact. Once all the plywood decking seams were taped, the self-sealing SealoronXT Ice & Water Barrier was installed to protect the home from moisture intrusion and water damage. Next, another layer of protection against severe weather, heavy rain, and high winds was added with the ultra-durable, high-performance VeloraONE Roof Underlayment.
With the protective layers secured, the shingles were installed. Unlike our competitors, Klaus Roofing Systems uses six nails instead of four to secure each shingle. The number and quality of our nails ensure the shingles will hold up against strong gusts of wind and severe weather conditions.
This homeowner decided it was time to say goodbye to their old, stained roofing, and the Klaus Roofing Systems roofer was happy to help! Our team expertly installed a brand-new roofing system featuring premium architectural shingles in the color Frostone Grey. The new roofing completely transformed the look of their home while increasing its curb appeal and value.
This roof replacement project started by inspecting the roof decking to ensure it was intact. From there, the roofers taped the deck seams and installed a self-sealing, waterproof barrier made of rubberized asphalt to protect the home from leaks and water damage. Next, the high-performance VeloraONE Roof Underlayment was added to protect against severe weather and high winds. Finally, the new shingles were installed, securing each with six nails to ensure they stayed intact even in the windiest conditions.
Roof replacements go deeper than the shingles. Before giving this customer a roof refresh, this local Klaus Roofing Systems contractor ensured the existing roof decking was intact. After taping all the plywood decking seams, self-sealing SealoronXT Ice & Water Barrier was installed to protect the home from water and leaks. As final prep for the new shingles, the roofers laid down our VeloraONE Roof Underlayment as an extra layer of protection against harsh weather. The customer selected new roofing shingles in the shade Biscayne, which perfectly complemented the home’s exterior. Water stains, mildew marks, faded shingles, and the old roof became a thing of the past.
As you can see in the first photo, this lovely home was due for a roof replacement. We started the replacement by tearing off the existing roofing materials and disposing of them properly.
