Edy in West Hartford, CT, had a roof that was 24 years old. While there weren’t any active leaks yet, the shingles were nearing the end of their lifespan, and Edy knew it was smarter to replace the roof before problems started. Our team at Klaus Larsen Roofing completed a full roof replacement on the home, excluding the flat roof section and the small roof above the bay window. We installed SealoronXT Ice & Water along the edges and vulnerable areas, VeloraONE Roof Underlayment across the rest of the deck, and taped the plywood seams with SealoronXT Deck Tape to ensure long-lasting protection. To finish, we installed IKO Dynasty shingles in Granite Black, giving the home a sharp new look while providing a durable roofing system built to withstand future storms.

This house in West Hartford, CT was in need of both a new roof and gutters. After tearing off one layer of existing roofing materials we replaced 2 sheets of damaged plywood decking. We then installed 3 rows of ice & water barrier near all eaves, valleys, chimneys etc. We also installed a brown F-8 aluminum drip edge along the entire outside perimeter of the roof. and tan shingles. In terms of gutters, we installed 5-inch heavy duty Aluminum Seamless Gutters by Englert. We also installed aluminum downspouts to match the gutters, as well as new 5-foot MicroGuard Gutter Guards by Englert. We finished the job by removing and replacing the existing chimney flashing with brand new lead flashing. This house is now safe, secure and looking better than ever thanks to Klaus Larsen Roofing!

Our team began by removing the old shingles and inspecting the decking underneath to make sure everything was structurally sound. Next, we installed SealoronXT Ice & Water in the roof’s most vulnerable areas to create a watertight barrier against ice dams and heavy rain. Over the rest of the roof, we rolled out VeloraONE Underlayment, a high-performance synthetic layer designed to keep moisture out and add an extra level of durability. Once the base layers were in place, we installed IKO Dynasty shingles in the color Granite Black. Strong, beautiful, and built to last.
