Mike in Willimantic, CT, reached out to us after dealing with a persistent leak in the small flat metal roof section over his sunroom. The roof had been in place for 27 years and was showing its age, with water making its way through seams and penetrations. Wanting a long-term solution without the cost of a full replacement, Mike called Klaus Larsen Roofing to see what we could do.

Our crew first power-washed and cleaned the existing roof material to make sure the new coatings would properly adhere. From there, we applied Roof X Tender 981 Flash and Sealant to all seam edges and screw penetrations, reinforcing the most vulnerable points of the roof. Once everything was sealed, we applied a silicone-based coating across the entire section, creating a watertight barrier designed to extend the roof’s life and keep the sunroom protected. To finish the job, we cut back the siding from the roofline and installed new solid PVC frieze board with an aluminum drip cap for a clean, finished look.

Now Mike’s sunroom is safeguarded against future leaks, and he has peace of mind knowing the problem was handled the right way.

Sometimes it can be difficult to choose the right shingle color for your house which is why our Sales Consultants have large shingles samples of all 15 colors. So when you asks our Consultants ask them to show you their large samples so you can choose a great color for your home as well as get a necessary roof replacement

This single family home in Niantic, CT was in need of a new roof. Klaus Larsen Roofing started the process by removing one layer of existing roofing materials and replacing 5 layers of damaged plywood decking. Next, we installed 3 rows of  Ice & Water Barrier near all eaves, valleys, and chimneys. In terms of shingles, we installed Duration TruDefinition Shingles in the color Driftwood.
