We consistently advise staying away from using 3-tab shingles, which lay side by side and are non-dimensional. They typically blur the line between an inexpensive and 'cheap' product. This roof was replaced with Duration architectural shingles, with Mule Hide purpose made flat roofing on the front shed roof deck.

This single-family home in Willimantic was in need of a roof replacement. To start, we tore off one layer of existing roofing material and installed a new plywood deck over the existing structural framing of the roof. In accordance with the new building code requirements, we taped all roof joints with self-adhering flashing tape. We then installed a synthetic underlayment to all areas of the roof that does not have an ice & water barrier. In terms of shingles, we installed a Klaus Larsen Roofing System with IKO Cambridge architectural Shingles in the color Weatherwood. We finished the job by removing and replacing the existing chimney flashing with brand new lead flashing.

For shingles, we installed Cambridge Architectural Shingles in the color Charcoal Grey. Lastly, removed and replaced flashing on the chimney with brand new lead flashing.
