This unique cape-style home located in Columbia, CT was in need of a roof replacement as it was showing signs of aging and wear. We took on this project by first tearing off the first layer of existing roofing material. Upon inspection of the roof decking, we found 3 damaged plywood decking sheets and replaced them promptly. We then installed two rows of Ice & Water Barrier as well as a layer of Synthetic Underlayment to protect the home from the elements. For the shingles, we installed a Klaus Larsen Roofing System using Cambridge Architectural Shingles in the Dual Black colorway. We finished this job by installing a new ridge vent to provide ventilation to the attic as well as replacing the flashing on the chimneys.
